"Because you asked: Jerusalem is mentioned 142 times in the New Testament, and none of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. But in an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem," Netanyahu said.

Not that Bibi needed to earn any more of my respect, but he just did.

When the leader of the free world speaks people listen. Bibi is that leader Obama only thinks he is.

Exodus has been dated to a period between 1400 - 1200BC. Mohammed's death in 632AD is almost 2000 years after Jaweh lead the Israelites to the promised land.

They don't own or have any claim to Jeruslaem. Their destruction of archeological relics to revise history is PHOOEY!

Netanyahu cites biblical authority for territorial claims,
______________________________________________________

Me too and this from the Old Testament of the Bible...

DO NOT MOVE AN ANCIENT BOUNDARY STONE... Proverbs 23:10

When you arrive in the land the LORD your God is giving you as your special possession, you must never steal anyone’s land by moving the boundary markers your ancestors set up to mark their property. Deuteronomy 19:14

Evil people steal land by moving the boundary markers. Job 24:2

“Cursed is the man who moves his neighbor’s boundary stone.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!” Deuteronomy 27:17

Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’” Exodus 32:13

So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.’ Joshua 14:9

In those days the people of Judah and Israel will return together from exile in the north. They will return to the land I gave their ancestors as an inheritance forever. Jeremiah 3:18

Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’ Ezra 9:12

So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the LORD your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever. 1 Chronicles 28:8

It’s this sort of simple arguments for Israeli ownership of Jerusalem that makes Netanyahu so great. The Palestinians don’t listen to logic or reason, so I doubt something this blatant will make any difference. I just hope that those settlements still get built. It is History and you cannot fight against the force of History.
