Oh my: Palin endorses … Carly Fiorina

It’ll be fun watching commenters freak out about this.

Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, she’s running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for America’s economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.

Should have stayed out of this one, Sarah.

I’m still voting for Chuck DeVore in the primary.

Great ... she just can’t stop stepping in the dog poo. One would think that she loves dog poo.

First, endorse Juan McCain .... and I think she’s either smoking Crack or is getting something in exchange for this breach of values.

Now endorsing Carly. If Juan and Carly are what she believes is the answer to America’s problems, then I believe that Palin is unqualified to lead this country. It’s really that simple.

Call me a cynic, but IMO it's far more likely that she's doing what she believes to be in her own best interests by lending support to those who a) she believes will be elected, and b) will be in a position to reciprocate with big favors once she announces her candidacy for POTUS.

Politics isn't clean and neat -- you have to make deals in exchange for what you want.

Maybe she believes that only Fiorina can beat Boxer in the general, and better anyone than Boxer.

Mostly I tend to vote for the best candidate, but Boxer is so hideous that I might even vote for a Log Stabbin' Republican if he had a greater chance to beat Boxer.

Instead of trying to finesse the electorate by nominating another moderate who might appeal to some on the other side, and continue the ever-accelerating slide towards gomorrah, just for sh*ts & grins why not go all in & select the most conservative candidate?

I mean, haven't we been disappointed often enough?

Good grief its as if we're ashamed of our own ideals.

I'm seriously doubting Sarah's judgment after the McCain, Perry now Fiorina thing.

Carly Fiorina was our CEO at one point....a true political animal.

She could speak to a crowd at Compaq/HP for a couple hours and we'd leave asking ourselves.

What the hell did she say.

True pontificator.

Sarah is in it for Sarah.....she’s running for president, and she wants payback later. She’s becoming part of the establishment.

What a disapointment.

Here’s hoping Demint runs in 2012.

Incremental progress in the right direction is what actually works. Absolutism does not.

She may not have done the company much good, but she certainly enjoyed being the Big Dog.

What really p*ssed off many of the HP faithful were her mocking references to the "HP Way" pioneered by the founders.

Somehow that does not seem the kind of thing a conservative would do.

If America looks at what Carly has done to H-P, they'll boil each and every Republican in oil.

Well, I was sorry she supported McCain, but I can understand that elementary loyalty required some sort of payback. As it is, it’s not as if she’s said a whole lot about it since.

As for Perry, he’s not great, but he’s a whole lot better than Kay Bailey Hutchinson. And the third candidate turned out to be a flake.

Carly Fiorina? I’m not fond of her, but she’s been running a pretty conservative campaign, and she may be the best bet to beat Boxer. There’s nothing about Fiorina that disqualifies her; she just isn’t the perfect candidate. But I don’t know if anyone else in the race can beat Boxer.

McCain is certainly by far the worst of the candidates she has endorsed, and running against a strong conservative. But she didn’t have much choice with that one. Hopefully conservtive voters will not be fooled by McCain’s ridiculous claims to be conservative. If they don’t know him by now, then they’re pretty hopeless. I think real conservatives are smarter than that, and will understand why Sarah unfortunately had to give him some help.

Fiorina is pro-abortion.

But there’s no pro-life candidate, is there?

Ask yourself one thing: Would she be an improvement (more conservative) over Boxer?
