Sarah Palin: Let’s shake it up in California! (Sarah endorses Carly Fiorina - Huh?)
Facebook ^ | Sarah Palin

Posted on 05/06/2010 12:29:51 PM PDT by FightforFreedomCA

I’d like to tell you about a Commonsense Conservative running for office in California this year. She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread. Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction – facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.

Her name is Carly Fiorina, and I’m proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate.

Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, she’s running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for America’s economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.

Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat California’s liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. I’m a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I’m glad to see the contest in California’s GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid “Big Government” agenda.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Carly. Visit her website here, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter. Read up on her positions and plans to help get us on the right track.

California is still Reagan Country, and Carly promises her “Reagan Conservative” values will be put to good use for her state and for our great nation. Shaking it up in California is long overdue. Let’s help Carly do it!

She might have the best chance doesn’t mean I have to like her

People don’t understand that concept.

You're right, they don't.

"I don’t know a lot about Carly but have seen her on several shows and like her."

The first seven words in your post explain the rest ...

I like Sarah, but she made a big mistake here ... she has undermined her own credibility for the sake of a candidate who cannot win. Bad politics.

Californians are not strict Conservatives, never have been.

You said a mouthful. I'm a CA conservative and people around the country don't know how bad it is here. Get Boxer the hell out of here no matter what it takes.

Why are people so angry? Please save that energy to beat Boxer...this is a primary. Sarah will never be POTUS, she knows that.. she loves her gig right now. She knows the political game and is playing it very well. Look at the big picture...Congressional seats...house votes...we need a Republican, Conservative block and will change a lot...these so called RINOS you all are upset about can and would change their vote if it means their political life. We have to change the voting numbers, to change policy.

Fiorina supports so-called "civil unions."

You’re just incapable of understanding that Fiorina is Boxer with an (R) behind her name.

You bet...I tire of party groupies coming out with the better of two evil shtick again...

That GOP strategy has left the conservative politial landscape in ruins.

This from the state that hasn’t elected anything but liberal Dems to the US Senate since the 1950s...

““Well, I don’t think John McCain could run a major corporation, I don’t think Barack Obama could run a major corporation, I don’t think Joe Biden could run a major corporation,” Fiorina said.”

And of course Fiorina proved (with HP) that she couldn’t...

Your list is pretty misleading. For example:

Scott Brown endorsed Rommey
Ann Coulter endorsed Romney
Mark Levin endorsed Romney

These were all during the GOP primary in 2008 when the choice was down to McCain and Romney. It was pretty much a wash at that point, but I favored Romney, too. Both had histories as liberal Republicans, but Romney was pretending to be conservative while McCain was still playing the Maverick. We could have gotten a little more from Romney. Plus, he understands the economy better. Was Romney my first choice? Hell no, I was for Hunter and then Thompson until they dropped out.

Some people, with that oh-so-knowledgable tone, suggest that those who seek perfection are simply unrealistic. Those people, several on this thread, are failing to comprehend the difference between a primary and a general election. In every primary, when presented with a choice between a conservative and a RINO, a conservative should support the conservative. Period. If they don't, they are not a conservative. If you don't support conservatives, how can you call yourself one?

In the general election, look at the choices and hold your nose if you have to. But in the primary, let's try to take control of the Stupid Party back from the RINOs, shall we?

Boy, Palin is sure mixing up the emotions, isn’t she? I also believe she made a difference in McCain’s “transformation” to conservative in AZ...but how long will it hold???

Civil unions is fine...i dont care...just dont change the meaning of marriage...they can call it what ever they want. You are not going to get rid of homosexuals in California, just give them a bone to chew on, keep them busy and lets get on with protecting the Constitution. Obama needs to be stopped, his agenda is bigger and more dangerous than civil unions. I dont he even pushes for gay marriage, he is a muslim, he will wait till the Rep take office and knows he will now be able to blame someone else, it is what he does.

Polls say otherwise.. almost anyone that had backing of the Gop could beat Boxer.. yet the party bigwigs always back the ‘pragmatic’ candidate and try to sell it to the base as the best we can get

This is what was said when Ahrnold came aboard. McClintock could have won. Just what did AS get us here in CA? Nada. BTW anyone married to a Kennedy can't be a conservative. Took the dumb (R)s 8 yrs to figure that out.
