What alley. That guy looks like he is in the middle of the sidewalk with people passing him left & right. What person trying to run from a criminal act is going to stop in the middle of a busy sidewalk and change their shirt? I am not buying this!
This is a goose chase. The ‘person of interest’ angle lets the MSM rant about the perp being white—the only officially sanctioned race to make TV allegations.

My first thought.
The media HOPES it’s a “white male in his 40s.” However, like you, I see nothing suspicious. I see guys take off outer shirts all the time if it’s a hot day and they have a short-sleeved one underneath. Wasn’t NYC hot and humid that day? Hard to tell much from this grainy video. Can’t tell much about skin color, but hair is dark.
