Venice, Louisiana (CNN) -- President Obama is expected to visit the area of an oil spill near the Louisiana coast Sunday, as Gulf Coast residents brace for the arrival of a massive oil slick creeping toward shore.

"Now they're saying we are seeing sheens" hitting the coast, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Saturday, citing the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. "But they expect the heavier oil to be coming by tomorrow and Monday."

So much talk about the oil slick, but I read in vain anywhere to find out HOW the spill started in the first place.

Several people called talk shows like Michael Savage and Mark Levin last Friday, a lot of them oil rig workers and engineers. To a man, most of them suspect sabotage. These rigs are designed to be redundant systems to prevent accidents like these and the occurrence of something of this magnitude is highly unlikely unless it is by design, so they say.

Also, what the heck was the purpose of sending SWAT teams to the oil slick region ? What can they do ?

If there are any experts out there who would like to give their input, we, the truth-hungry public would be glad to hear you out.

There was a massive explosion where 11 people were killed. The rig was on fire for 3 days when it sank.

Here’s a first hand account of the explosion.

There are forces under the earth that make a mockery of man's arrogance. More than likely, the mud engineer underestimated the gas bubble coming up, and coming up from 5000 feet below sea level and drilling 18,000 below that, it simply may have been too much for the BOP and mud to handle.

What I'm afraid of is that Obama may use this as his Oklahoma City bombing moment, to somehow blame the Republicans' for it and get a big comeback in the polls.

"Structure", sabotage, Osama, financial disaster....all go together

Osama has never been about mass kill but financial and/or strategic destruction.

I see Obozo used it in his speech at UofM yesterday. Claimed we need government to prevent companies from spilling oil (as if they do it on purpose) and to force them to pay when they do.

My lib friend's are blaming BP. Say they intentionally failed to monitor the rig, knew it was unsafe & failed to do anything about it, yadda-yadda.

For them, nothing is going to stick to BO
