According Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Dar: Diplomatic sources in Cairo told the newspaper that the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told her Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Aboul Gheit and the Saudi intelligence chief Prince Muqrin bin Abdul Aziz during a private meeting in the Nuclear Security summit last week, that the Israeli-Iranian armed race is accelerated towards a regional war in the Middle East, during this year, at any time.
Clinton warned both Egyptian and Saudi officials to take extra care and caution, and define their strategy to formulate the position of their countries in the event of such a war.

This is one of the more sobering little puzzle pieces I've read amongst many this last few months.

That doesn't match the title and I don't see anywhere in the article where it says that Clinton said "war in the Middle East, this year, at any time" ...
I think it was an over-zealous title writer that put that in there. It's hype.
BUT, this really isn't some kind of grand revelation if we're talking about Israel and what it might do in regards to Iran and their efforts towards getting a nuclear weapon.
It's not like Israel hasn't been saying things all along that sound like war (or an attack) in any case.
So, what's the "news" and what's the "revelation" here? LOL ...

I've thought about this, in terms of the Bible prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39... the Gog/Magog War.
Since Iran is involved in this, Iran is not going to be wiped out before this Gog/Magog War happens. And the time for that war is not right now. That's because Israel dwells in peace and security (at least it's perceived that way at the time) and then that kind of attack happens. That seems to be an attack inside and during the Tribulation time -- and not now (for the Gog/Magog War).
BUT, that doesn't mean that Iran can't be attack right now -- it's just that it won't be a devastating attack and/or it won't wipe out Iran (if such an attack does happen). It will probably be a surgical attack if such an attack happens. But, I really don't know if such an attack will happen in the first place. I'm somewhat doubtful of it right now.
It could and then it might not.
I would be looking for the Psalm 83 war to happen first (because those immediately surrounding Muslim nations are not a factor at the time of the Gog/Magog War, so they must have been dispensed with earlier.
That Psalm 83 war could happen inside the Tribulation time or it could happen before, as that's not a prophecy that has any "timing" attached to it or anything that links it to other events.
As such, it's not a prophecy that we can say, "This has to happen prior to the Rapture" as the Rapture is an event that happens with no preceding prophetic events tied to it.
Now, the Gog/Magog War does seem to have some things attached to it, as far as the timing is concerned in that there seems to have been a "final status peace agreement with Israel" and hence having Israel dwelling in (apparent) peace and safety.
In any event Iran is not going to be destroyed, they will still be a viable military power even if they get into a war right now (which I'm doubtful it will at the present time; although they will engage in terrorism [or war] "by proxy" -- which we did and which the Soviet Union did, too -- during out Cold War days).
Again, since Iran has to be there and militarily viable for the Russian-led Muslim invasion of Israel during the time of the Gog/Magog War, Iran won't be severely impacted and/or destroyed, at this time, no matter what happens.
But, if an attack on Iran does happen now and it does have an impact on their nuclear program (like the attack of Israel upon Iraq at the Osiris nuclear facility), then this may be the "big grudge" that Iran has, to go along with the Russian-led invasion of Israel.
I've stopped being concerned over Israel at every "sound of war", since I've been around for the Suez Crisis, Six Day War, the War of Attrition, the Yom Kippur War, the First Lebanon War, the 2006 Lebanon War, and Operation Lead Cast and so on... The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will take care of Israel, as He never sleeps or slumbers when it comes to the preservation of Israel.
HOWEVER, I also know that 2/3 of the Jews will be killed during the Tribulation Time, which is a worst "Holocaust" than the one during the Second World War, as it's double the killings of Jews from Hitler.
So, there's more and worse in store for Israel, but God will save the remnant and all Israel will be saved at the coming of the Messiah of Israel (as the Apostle Paul tells us in the Word of God).

Sometimes I think someone keeps the "rumors of wars" going periodically, specifically for the purpose of keeping the upward pressure on the price of oil ... LOL ...
That one reason, just by itself, would be enough justification for many -- to continually have one rumor of war, after another rumor or war -- going on into perpetuity ... :-)

So many diverse sources have been signalling something between Israel and Iran with INCREASING urgency for months now.
Hard to believe nothing will come of it.
More likely.... they told her.
They first went outside and dug a hole in the ground. They then pointed to the hole and then to her ass.
Well, I’m not saying that nothing will come of it, but that it is probably a 50/50 chance of no war happening (or of a war happening). It could go either way.
There’s a whole lot of potential scenarios and no one but God knows what’s going to happen for sure.
I mean, for another possibility, Iran may try to pre-empt Israel by having its proxies start a war with Israel and this may be the catalyst for the Psalm 83 War, right now. And in the process of a Psalm 83 War happening (instead of an Israeli-Iranian war [or attack] right now), Israel may dispense of Iran’s proxies in the immediately surrounding countries, and thus wipe out Iran’s leverage in the area. That would be another good reason for Iran to have a grudge against Israel and go with the Russian-led invasion of Israel.
So, one could construct all sorts of scenarios, all day long... and they would be infinite, as to what could happen ... :-)
Another one, by the way is the prophecy about the destruction of Damascus, too. Perhaps that’s in connection with the Psalm 83 War and perhaps it’s an independent event. Again, it’s hard to tell ahead of time. I just know it’s going to happen and it appears to be Israel as the one having the motive and the power to utterly destroy Damascus in an hour ...
