Carly Fiorina outlines her anti-abortion stance (also, Feinstein a "fine senator," McCain admired)

Carly Fiorina outlines her anti-abortion stance

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina, who has been trying to appeal to conservatives in a tough, three-way primary race, said Friday that one of the senators she admires most is a Democrat: California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

"Sen. Feinstein has been a fine senator for the state of California, and has accomplished a great deal. I would describe her as a pragmatic problem-solver," Fiorina told Chronicle reporters and editors during an interview with the newspaper's editorial board. "I admire her, I respect her. I like her. I think and I hope she would say the same about me."

Asked to cite senators she admired, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO and first-time candidate mentioned Feinstein, for her practical approach to issues such as California's water crisis, and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. In 2008, Fiorina served as a top economic adviser to McCain's presidential campaign.

In regards to abortion (which isn't discussed in the article until the seventh paragraph), she talks about not having children of her own, and how her "husband's mother was told to abort him."

However, the article states that "abortion rights would not be her litmus test for approving a Supreme Court nominee," and reiterates a November 2009 event how she "'probably would have voted for' Justice Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the court." And she said on Friday, "I do not believe where a potential judicial nominee stands on that issue is a qualifier or an unqualifier."

Probably not. As I always say:

“Support the most conservative candidate who can win.”

I don’t know if that’s Carly or not. But the most conservative candidate who can win in Cali might make us all barf.

So her Pro-Life position is just a smoke-screen, wink-wink, to get a majority of conservatives on her side.

To sink her candidacy in SECONDS, we just need to publicize this quote at every one of her appearances:

"No American has a right to a job."

In fact, let's steal that for the Tea Parties, and emend it to:

NO Politician has a right to a jobTM.

Cheers!

This smells too much like Holy Joe Lieberman saying the same thing during campaign ‘04 while figuratively winking.

Yes. It's one of those "I'm personally 'pro-life' but..." kind of messages.

There are more conservatives in Ca than most states combined.
The problem is there are 10 million people in LA county - more than most states combined and guess what they are mostly liberal or illegal and both vote rat.
Ca is a place to block a far left senator like Boxer and Feinstein (wicked witches of the west).
If you want conservatives in the senate ask the many states that vote republicans in for POTUS by a large margin and have conservative state governments but vote extreme liberals for their senators.
Can you imagine 10 million liberals and illegals voting for
Ann Coulter?

C'mon, Tz, you've been around Free Republic to know that it's based in Fresno -- the creation of a Californian, Jim Robinson.

She’s about as liberal as Boxer. I can’t stand the woman - sorry she has cancer but still can’t abide her.

How can a state the size of California not come up with a single decent human being to run for senator?

"No American has a right to a job."

Well, at least she's right about something. ...as long as she doesn't turn around and add, "But Americans DO have a right to communist health care."

Chuck De Vore is a great conservative. He is running for the nomination against Campbell and Fiorina. He needs our support. He was minority whip in the Assembly when he was asked to whip up support for a recent tax increase. He resigned his leadership position in protest. He speaks with authority and without notes or teleprompter. There’s video and a way to support him at www.chuckdevore.com . Check him out.
