Gates may be a great guy although I myself don’t thing so, but that is just a dumb statement.

What Gates should be stating is, the Iranians are supplying and training our enemies in Afghanistan who are killing our troops. If they don’t stop we will attach them.

“fall into the hands of terrorists” ??

The mad mullahs will gladly hand them over to the terrorists...

Gates is just too PC to speak the truth. AND, THAT is scary.

Reading the brief article reminding me of General Casey after the Fort Hood Massacre:

“General Casey’s Diverse Army: how many innocent Americans have to be murdered ...”
American Thinker ^ | 11/12/09 | Ken Russell
Posted on November 12, 2009 12:17:27 AM PST by American Dream 246

SNIPPET: “I am missing something here. After the attack and murder of 13 innocent people by an apparent imbedded radical Jihadist in the US Army, General Casey said on Meet The Press, “Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.””

“Fall into the hands of terrorists?” They gotta be kidding. To think in terms of very low-level Taliban types utilizing these drones is absolutely ludicrous. A drone is NOT merely a more advanced version of an AK or IED, it is a highly sophisticated device. If those drones are used in the support of Al Qaeada or the Taliban, it will with the full knowledge of the Mullahs of Teheran and with the active assistance of the Iranian military.

I'm attending the funeral of GySgt Rob Gilbert this weekend and he was killed by a sniper in Northwest Afghanistan. I don't believe some Afghani became a skilled sniper on his own. This is coming from Iran.

“Iran Claims New Stealth Drone That Can Attack US Gulf Fleet”
by Staff Writers
Tehran (AFP) Feb 10, 2007

SNIPPET: “Iran said on Saturday it has started mass producing and using a stealth drone with a range of 700 kilometres (420 miles) that it claims is undetectable to radars. “We have built a drone with a more than 700-kilometre range which can collect information and shoot films,” the head of the elite Revolutionary Guards, General Yahya Rahim Safavi, told Iran’s Arabic-language satellite news channel Al-Alam.

“The material and the shape of this drone make it undetectable for radars, so it can not be targeted,” he added.

“The drone has passed its experimental phase and it is being mass produced, and we are currently using it in our operations,” Rahim Safavi, said without giving more details.”
