The original Senate version is already law.. This is a mistake. The GOP should let the Dems FULLY OWN this piece of crap.

Not really....it's like dirty water and mud...keep stirring...more crap comes up....more becomes “transparent”

Personally I think OB kept his transparency promise...He is showing us exactly what he is...in our face....doesn't care....we are just helping him expose...transparent...what is in this bill...alot of Americans did not know there was a provision to touch student loans.....Keep stirring...lets see what else comes up....eh?

The Dems do OWN it. Rest assured that ObamaCare will fail miserably on its own merits. And what a joyous day it will be when a GOP Congress DE-FUNDS ObamaCare sometime after January 2011.

In fact, the GOP has successfully made those corrupt, lying House Democrats OWN ObamaCare ONE MORE TIME ... a point the GOP will surely advertise in the 2010 election cycle.

A mistake to make Democrats vote for it again? They stayed up all night trying to find a way not to have to vote again. So why is it a mistake to have forced them to go on the record one more time? I would like to see them forced to endorse ObamaCare by a vote every week.

I disagree, 2/3 of Americans want the GOP to fight this crap sandwich. [http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2479246/posts] They are going to muck it up anyway possible.

I think this plays directly into electoral victory in November.

I see your point but this means that the “fixes” either fail because they can’t get it together and the House ‘Rats feel betrayed or they succeed and we have to watch those idiots take responsibility for this mess AGAIN!

I think Zero is also ripe, ripe, ripe for criticism because instead of “focusing like a laser on jobs” as he pledged, he’s off on a campaign tour to try to “sell” this steaming pile of poo.

All of which can be exploited, big time!

Disagree -

NOW that more is known by the general public about this bill - and after the Senate just voted down many otherwise “good amendments” (in eyes of public) - the House must turn around and vote for it a second time.

IMO this second vote will be even more powerful to unseat them in November (i.e. voted twice for same piece of cr_p)

You're wrong. Dems already own it. Gumming up reconcilliation can stall or possibly stop some of the worst damage this bill will do. That will mean less that the GOP will have to clean up post-2010 and 2012.

No guarantee the House will go along, but it is still the right thing to do. Whether they win or lose, GOP doesn't have to make it easy for them.

FReegards!

Actually, in regard to your “fully own” suggestion, the current GOP maneuvers are designed to ensure that is what happens.

By forcing a Senate Dem vote on such things as giving Viagra to sex offenders or exempting themselves from the new healthcare plan, Republicans are pinning the Dems to the wall. Every one of those votes last night are recorded and are perfect campaign ammo.

I can’t wait for the commercials.
