Grayson Accused of Campaign Finance Violation
Congressional Quarterly ^ | March 24, 2010 | Matthew Murray

After spending a year talking tersely to Republicans, populist firebrand Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) may soon be getting a scolding of his own — from election regulators for botching disclosure language on a recent fundraising appeal.

Grayson is accused in a complaint filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission of breaking federal campaign finance laws earlier this week when his campaign solicited prohibited corporate campaign contributions on behalf of a Florida political candidate, Scott Maddox.

Wasserman- schultz also has a strong contender - Bob Lowry

Aside from Dan and Bob, we are supporting Marco Rubio for Senator, Allen West for Congress and Ed Lynch for Congress.

There are many Republicans running. None of them are first-tier, but a few have some name I.D.

RE: Dan Fanelli (R) - Retired Airline Pilot, Navy Veteran & Anti-Tax Activist

I have met personally with or have spoken to several of the conservative candidates that have ambitions of challenging Grayson in November for the Florida 8th seat. And, I am greatly impressed and very enthusiastic about this promising crop of “common sense” conservative candidates.

This weekend, I attended Beck's AMERICAN REVIVAL event at the UCF Arena in Orlando(great event by the way) and had an opportunity to spend some time visiting with Dan Fanelli (R), one of these candidates in the Fl 8th.

Though I am not yet prepared to say that I support any one of these candidates specifically, including Fanelli, (though once we complete our full due diligence on each of these people that will happen soon for my family and me), I was very impressed with Fanelli.

Fanelli does not look like, act like or talk like a politician, I liked that for starters.

Finelli appeared to me to be a good old fashion “citizen candidate” (Jimmy Stewart type like in Mr Smith goes to Washington). He was soft spoken, seemed like a straight forward square shooter communicator, answered all of my challenging questions like a stand up kinda guy - with no ego or narcissistic behavior showing, at least during the time I spent with him.

I found him very knowledgeable of the issues and fully engaged with solid ideas about how to address the issues facing us with common sense conservative values and solutions.

If those of you in the Fl 8th want to check him out for yourself, here's his website: www.fanelliforcongress.com or www.electdan2010.org

When I finally figure out which conservative in the Fl 8th I am going to support, I'll let you know, and explain why.

Hi All,
Thanks SterlingSilver for sharing information about your meeting Dan Fanelli. I am wholeheartedly supporting Dan and know that when folks learn about him they will also support him. He is BY FAR the best constitutional conservative candidate to face Grayson in November!

Dan Fanelli, as well as all new candidates in our state, had to meet a petition deadline TODAY for ballot access.
If Dan does not meet the required number of valid petitions, he will have to spend $10,000 for ballot access. I am sure he will learn fairly soon if he met the required number of petitions. Candidates always try to get more than enough as some folks sign petitions and are actually not registered to vote....which means that petition is thrown out.

We all know that Dan Fanelli is going to need all the help he can get to go up against the Grayson millions and the DEM machine! Please visit Dan's site and if you like what you see, please consider helping him with whatever you can in a donation. http://electdan2010.com/

I will continue to tell everyone I can about Dan Fanelli just like I do for Marco Rubio, Allen West, Ed Lynch and others. My friends and I have vetted candidates and are choosing the best constitutional conservatives running!

If any Florida patriots will be at the Orlando City Hall Tea Party event on April 15th at 6PM, please visit our booth and meet Dan Fanelli. Our booth at this event will be used to pass out information about the BEST Constitutional Conservatives running for office here in Florida. Look for the booth titled: “WAKE UP FLORIDA! ELECT CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVES!” Hope to see you there! Jean St.Pete,FL

I've met and spoken with Dan Fanelli, as well... and was also very favorably impressed with his openness and honesty. While he may not be as impassioned a speaker as, say, Allen West, I think he would be a fine upstanding conservative public servant.

You can see video of Dan, Allen, Marco Rubio, and others on my YouTube channel at Zot Productions.

Based on his deranged response to a private citizen (http://www.mycongressmanisnuts.com) I fully expect him to bring charges and request jail time for whoever brought this information forward...!

He’ll be gone soon.

Why don't you think he'll stay around? Don't forget HIS district is the first one in the nation where the congressional incumbent will face BOTH an "R" AND a "Tea Party" candidate in November. I wish it weren't so. Remember Perot. PLEASE, please, please prove me wrong and give me hope.

As has been proven, some of the Tea Party candidates are Democrats in disguise. It has to be stressed to Tea Party groups that conservatives MUST stay united behind one candidate.

It will certainly be an interesting race to watch...but isn’t there a primary race, after which the clear choice would NOT be Grayson...

Good luck ever seeing Corrine pack her bags. Her gerrymandered district will vote for her until she dies. Then they’ll dig her up again, vote for her, and send her back to Washington.
