But the crime rate of any ethnicity shows the exact same pattern when poverty is also considered. Any ethnic group everywhere around the world (blacks, whites, asian, hispanic, et.al.) that has higher rates of poverty show proportionately higher rates of crime as perpetrators, victims, and inmates.

The real issue is not primarily of ethnicity, it is of poverty. The reality is that welfare handouts don’t fix poverty yet that’s just about all that liberal governments seem to want to do, instead of doing the hard work of incentivising family unit cohesion, good education outcomes, and job opportunities.

I think you'll find higher violent crime rates among blacks even controlling for socioeconomic factors, at least it was years ago when I was looking at such things. Apples to apples, yes crime generally goes up in poorer areas, but apples to oranges you still get greater overall rates across the spectrum in certain ethnic groups. There's either a cultural problem or something else. For example, poverty doesn't really explain terrorism. In that case, people at every stratum are driven to acts of murder primarily by Islam rather than economic factors.
