Dozens of health care activists are protesting in the nation's capital against what they call an abusive health insurance industry.

Members of Health Care for America Now gathered at Dupont Circle Tuesday morning, and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean and other speakers addressed the crowd. They planned to march through downtown Washington to a hotel where America's Health Insurance Plans, an association of health insurance companies, is meeting for a conference.

Dozens? There are likely more people protesting the wars in front of the White House.

Shame FOX news didn’t make the Tea Party protests “breaking news alerts”.

What a bunch of crap.

There have already been arrests. If the cops would just tell the news media to go away all those idiots protesting would go away.

Just saw on Fox news that police are afraid that they may break into the hotel. Crowd reported to be up to 2,000. Got a robo call here in Arizona this morning from the DNC slamming McCain because he’s anti-obamacare!

“health care activists”—now, who would they be? The ones who answered the employment ads for census workers?

when “dozens” of these people protest they are referred to as “activists” and get plenty of pub....

when near 1,000,000 Patriotic Americans protest the government in DC we are called “angry”, “extremists” and “protesters” by the criminal liberal media who try to ignore us...

Yes, if Boys Town is your local butt wrangling and lasso pick up spot. Didn’t use to be this, once it was a great place to meet the ladies - this of course was when the Redskins were winning Super Bowls. Now its a great place to meet the blades and get some super bowels.

They had moved on to the Ritz Carlton by the time I walked up to the Circle - I’d say about 5000, and that’s being generous. They had taken up one (short) block of the street. Most of them looked pretty healthy to me too.

So dozens of pro-healthcare protesters becomes an AP story? Should they able to ram it thru millions of Americans who oppose it? People would not mind fixing the kitchen, but not when they want to tear down whole house to fix a kitchen.

“Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.
