Turn the lights off for ObamaCare. If you don't you may as well turn them off for the Democratic Party.
Today's Philadelphia Inquirer reported that "Tea-party activists who oppose the legislation outnumbered supporters, with about 200 sign-wielding, slogan-shouting tea partyers attending a morning news conference before Obama arrived" regarding President Obama's socialism sales pitch at Arcadia (nee Beaver College) University, yesterday. The story, which ran on page B-1, included a large color photo of the tea-party protesters.

200 Tea Party Patriots Protest Obama's Closing Argument Speech in Arcadia
I hope this guy is correct. I think they will push to get this nightmare passed no matter what.
Bless these folks who took the time to show up.
A long list of key area Democrats were there to support the presidents plan for reform, including Gov. Ed Rendell; Sens. Arlen Specter and Bob Casey; and U.S. Reps. Chaka Fattah, Allyson Schwartz, Bob Brady, Joe Sestak and Rob Andrews.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel were also on hand.
This is a defining issue for our party, something we have been working for for 60 years and the time is right, Hoeffel said. Unfortunately, the Republicans are adamantly opposed to anything at all, even though the president has taken three or four of their ideas and included them in the proposal.
The president, however, is no longer talking to the opposition. He is now reaching out to Americans, asking for their help in spreading his message.
The time for talk is over. We need to see where people stand, Obama said.
200 ‘Tea Party’ protesters rally outside Obama speech
GLENSIDE About 200 protesters turned out to voice their opposition to President Barack Obama’s health care reform speech at a suburban Philadelphia college.
Protesters associating themselves with the tea party movement rallied outside Arcadia University on Monday morning before Obama delivered a speech urging Democrats to support legislation that would overhaul the health insurance industry.
Demonstrators carried signs denouncing Obama’s proposals, likening the plan to socialism. A smaller group of counter-protestors also rallied outside the school.

He lies when he breathes. The notion he cares what people think, even its against him is as patently false as the earth being flat.
“Obamacare is a debt sentence”...clever sign
a buddy just pinged me that a big contingent of Tea Partiers are headed to DC on Thursday on rumors Pelosi is going to try and sneak in a vote that day?
We were not permitted on campus, and some protesters were shooed away from even the same side of the street (Church Rd). Thanks to firm, vocal but polite opposition led by Don Adams, we managed to stay on the sidewalk under the Arcadia arch on Easton Road. Don told me that this had been pre-arranged with the Chief of Police in Cheltenham Township. Later we walked up Easton Road a bit to greet the (late as usual) arriving motorcade.
During the course of the morning, several people told me that there were reports of protesters inside the hall, and we were hoping that some people had obtained tickets to the event and protested inside. I have no confirmation of it though. The police and security personnel did not permit us on campus as a group, or as individuals. They were, in my observation, polite, and our people thanked the police several times for their work. When one of the protesters wanted to throw away some trash and couldn't find a bin, an officer took it from her to place in the trash bin inside the college walls. The local folks were presumably given orders to carry out, but apart from the initial confrontation over the location of our podium, they were professional and not unpleasant. I think they quickly realized we weren't rabble and also weren't backing down.
It's good to see that there is some coverage of this. There were numerous reporters and camera on hand, and interviews taking place. I was in DC on 9/12, and although the crowd in DC was much, much larger, it seems like the Glenside event is getting more coverage. I take this as a positive development.
Good event - great job by Terri and Don Adams!
Most of the people protesting were from various local conservative groups, including a Delaware 9/12 group and weren’t and aren’t a part of Tea Patriots. In fact, hardly any members of that group were present, for the press conference, which was organized by Independence Hall Tea Party Association (not associated with Tea Party Patriots), or the rally, promoted by countless groups in the Tri-state area.
About 200 protestors were present for the press conference which began at 9AM.
But the crowd swelled to 400 - 500 protestors when Obama and his motorcade pulled into Arcadia University around 11AM.
That is great!
Thank you all so much for doing this!
Keep us updated if you don’t mind. We will never hear the truth from MSM.
(late as usual)
Most politicians really think they are special.
Please, you and Don be careful out there.
Code Red - House Target List on Health Care
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obamas announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the fixer bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.
