Restricting Premiums only effects price; it does not effect costs! Cost will continue to soar from government mandates, lawsuits, and fraud. Sad if Obama Health Care passes.

Friends from Taiwan told me that in their national health care program, hospital doctors are paid much lower salaries BUT expect cash “gifts”. The patient’s family goes to the flower vendors in the hospital where they buy flowers and a RED ENVELOPE. They inquire what type (how much) of gift that doctor requires/likes for that type/level of operation. Then they put the cash in the red envelope and deliver it to the doctor.
In a sense, the flower vendors and the doctors set the real PRICE of health care in Taiwan. Maybe we can expect that here.
On another occasion, a doctor from Taiwan said that a doctor in Taiwan is paid less but can save more than a doctor here in the U.S. because of all the forms of taxes (state, local, federal taxes, and insurance). He said that doctor’s here earn more, but save less.
