One can’t. OTOH, this kind of data, via NASA and private providers, is routinely used to protect sensitive equipment and satellites that would otherwise suffer (worse) damage.

Some satellites can ‘go turtle’, which effectively shuts them down, but protects sensors, etc. Some earth based equipment can also be put into a protected mode to minimize damage.

OTOH, if a “super storm” were to be headed our way, then we would have enough warning to kiss our fannies good-bye; and maybe even to get in that odd raping, looting, pillaging, or revenge murder that’s been simmering on the back burner.

Even with 4 days notice, most of the public wouldn’t even believe it, and some would not even know. It probably wouldn’t be until the 4th or 5th day it would sink in.
