Solar flares? Pfft. Stop driving SUVs and check in the air in your Prius’ tires and everything will be O.K.!

What??? They just learned of the dangers of a Coronal Mass Ejection? They must have watched the movie “Knowing” and discovered a new way to scare the crap out of people.

At least they are headed in the right direction. A CME ending civilization is about a million times more likely than Anthropogenic Global Warming doing the same.

By the way, if you are interested in solar science you should check out www.spaceweather.com which is run by NASA. It helps put in perspective all the AGW nonsense out there.

I thought a “coronal mass ejection” was when the bouncers closed down the bar in Cancun

“coronal mass ejections”

Do these cause global warming; or are they caused by global warming? Global warming must have something to do with it, no? I just can’t keep these things straight.

It would give us 3 or 4 days to think about what to do.

If you’re worried about saving the Earth, maybe you shouldn’t even be on the WWW. It uses precious electricity.

gives users the chance to help scientists spot Sun storms - known as coronal mass ejections - before they cause damage on Earth

SOHO already does this, and does it better, in conjunction with Stereo-A & Stereo-B.

However, if it occupies the minds of Gaea freaks, keeping them from causing real trouble for a little while each day, then I guess it can't hurt.

This will only work if we can use the WWW to get rid of all of the leftists.
