Even with 4 days notice, most of the public wouldn’t even believe it, and some would not even know. It probably wouldn’t be until the 4th or 5th day it would sink in.

Understand that a Gallup poll in 1944 revealed that 5% of the American public didn't know we were involved in a war.

Understand that a Gallup poll in 1944 revealed that 5% of the American public didn't know we were involved in a war.

If they took that poll today, it would be about 53%.
