Politics isn’t really your strength is it? You think that the GOP has collapsed and is finished?

Do you even keep up with politics and elections? The GOP is ascending, they are looking at one of their best elections in history this year and things are looking great for regaining the Presidency in 2012.

Winning in 2012 would maintain the GOP traditional winning of the Presidency for the last 60 years.

The OP(formerly the GOP) isn't ascending. The Conservative Tea Party movement is ascending and the OP is trying to latch on for the ride.

That depends on your definition of winning. McAmnesty being elected President would have been an OP victory but certainly would have been a loss for Conservatism. Anyone who supports him is agreeing with his principles. Should such a person run for office it would result in the same situation. You're more concerned with party over principle. That attitude is precisely why the OP has become increasingly accepting of socialism.
