So sad. Had a beautiful, gray tabby who used to roam the Wildlife Refuge that our home backed up to. He came home one day with a huge, circular gash out of his shoulder. He survived....but the vet said it was caused by a ‘4-point razor’ arrow. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE and grew up in a family of hunters.....but this is just sick.

You need to research how much damage feral cats are doing to wildlife in many areas. Was this cat you refer to spade or neutered?

Uhh...your tabby was probably killing every little birdie, bunny, squirrel and any other critter it came across in the Wildlife Refuge. Sounds like it was a feral cat.
