Guess you don't know how welcome Haitians are in Dominican Republic. Cosndiering one side of the island is fairly nice and the other side is hell on earth before the earthquake. Yeah the Dominicans roll out the red carpet for the Haitians - not.

They weren’t lying. Normally, the Dominican Republic works hard to keep out Haitian illegal immigrants, but DR has actually taken in a number of Haitian refugees in this disaster, and housing the children there would not have been unusual.
