I find this story hard to believe. No way would Turkey (who has luke-warm relations with Israel at best) allow this to happen on their soil.

Sounds like “Baghdad Bob” has a new gig.

The Turks have a long standing relationship with not just Israel, but with Jews in general. Military cooperation between the two states goes way back. The Israelis have upgraded many different types Turkish aircraft and other kinds of military equipment. It would not be all that surprising to find they were providing a little "in kind" support to the Israelis in return.

You have to remember that the Turks are a secular Muslim country, pretty much the only one. Officially at least. Every once in a while the generals have to whack the "religious" types down. The Turkish officer corps take their oath to their constitution very seriously.
