When the news first broke about the underwear bomber, the idiots on CNN were making light of it, referring to the device as a firecracker. It wasn't until several hours later, when passengers were actually interviewed, did the scope and seriousness of what happened, actually become clear. Unlike every other news story, the media seems to have a vested interested in underplaying these stories.
