It’s a great rifle. I have the 1994 100th Anniversary Edition chambered in 30-30.

Model 94 is a great brush rifle - mine’s in .30-30 Winchester and made in the late 1890’s by the serial number. Used it quite a bit growing up, but haven’t fired in in several years. I never really liked the .30-30 cartidge, though. I’ve always preferred cartridges with more punch, like .30-06 or .308 Winchester (7.62 NATO) or a nice magnum cartridge.

I bought a box of 30/30 Tuesday, last one Walmart had. You have to get there early to get anything at all. The 94 is still a very effective little piece of design genius.

I hunted with a model ‘94 30-30 when I was a kid. Great gun for walking around all day. Easy to carry and good out to 100 yards or more. Wish I had that rifle today.

My favorite rifle is an old 30-30 Winchester, the action is scary smooth. Embarrassed to say how many lever guns I have.

It would be very nice without all that engraving.

The 94 and 1911 are arguably two of the most reliable firearms ever made.

When I was selling guns in Simms' Hardware's Gun Department in Sacramento, CA, we got in two model 94s built as the 1866 Centennials rifles direct from Winchester. These were the ones that were cast receivers with stamped parts... really crappy guns, with gold plated receivers. Both guns were stamped with proof marks indicating they had been test fired.
We could not understand how that could be. Neither rifle had ever been chambered... We sold them for five times their retail value as collectors' items.

Any thoughts on this rifle in .44 Magnum?
I’ve got one empty slot in my safe.

You can’t mount a scope on it like a Marlin can you?
