House Democratic leaders wrapped up a meeting on health care with President Obama at the White House Wednesday saying that progress was being made on getting a final bill to the President’s desk.

“I think we’re very close,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told assembled reporters outside the White House.

Democrats have aimed to get a final bill to Obama's desk before his State of the Union address scheduled for sometime in early February.

Asked about the timing and whether the conferencing process could be completed during the month of January, Pelosi replied “it’s possible.”

Since the Republicans are not able to participate; let’s only allow the democrats to be placed on the bill. That includes all government employees which of course includes the POTUS and Congress.

HOW ABOUT A MASSIVE BOYCOTT OF THE SOTU BY ALL REPUBLICANS?
I’ll bet most of them won’t have the stones but I’d like to every single one of them walk out during SOTU or just flat out not show up for this. In front of the cameras. They could show up at a citizen march on Washington instead...and let WE THE PEOPLE know what their plans are for restoring our democracy.

What say ye?

A rifle springs to mind...

In the real world, being older than 55, I’d better get the angioplasty done on my left leg: it’s likely to be the last procedure, except for the removal of taxes from my paychecks, that I’m allowed to have.

The question is, will SCOTUS have the stones to take such a case or will the Justices deem it “too political.”

They seem to be gun-shy after the heat they got following the Gore case in 2000.

I think it’s a great idea.

The DC GOP, however, craps its drawers at the thought of the LSM, so they’ll do nothing controversial.

Par for the course.

They’ve already shown their hand about how they’re going to deal with us: force out weak Dhimmis like Dodd and Dorgan and replace them with new candidates who haven’t earned the hate of the voters as yet.

The task for conservatives is to slime the Democrat brand - both the old faces and the new.

The Dems have already shown that they’ll all vote in lockstep at their leaders’ beck and call and any new ones will be just carbon copies of the old guys who quit.

Unfortunately I think the election process will be even more tainted by the 2010 election. Do you actually think the Dem’s are this stupid? They wouldn’t be so bold if they didn’t think they could actually get away with it.

Something is coming, something that will “fix” the 2010 election problem. That is what we should be concerned about.

Not good enough.

We need a massive civilian strike.

Slowdowns on the roads at all the choke points.

Stoppages of gas and food supplies to the capitol.

etc.

You are right...the new Dem is just the same as the old Dem marching lock step to Pelosi’s tune and robbing the American people blind.
