(CNN) -- Airstrikes against al Qaeda targets in Yemen will be carried out only by the country's armed forces, the Yemeni foreign minister said Wednesday.
Asked whether the country would need support from U.S. airstrikes, Abu Bakr al-Qirbi told CNN, "No, we don't need that." However, he acknowledged that Yemen will "need the technical and the intelligence information to undertake these attacks," he said.

Since Yemen hasn’t been serious about combating terrorism up to this point, I don’t believe ‘em.
Yeah right! We will show them how we do our fighting operations, then what? The Yemeni army will teach the terrorists how to evade them, it’s as obvious as Mabus’ naivity
Does anyone actually think that Yemen will chase any terrorists?
No,no,no, we don't want you to kill em,we just need to know what you know so we can protect them.
Abstract: Yemen wants money.
They have had terrorist camps openly operating in Yemen for years, and they need us to give them “intelligence” on how to find them?
Sure thing.
I think they want two things: intelligence (which they will probably use to help the other side) and money, money, money. Maybe a few billion in aid for their “helping” us. I’m sure Obama will be glad to help his Arab buddies.
What are they gonna use, hot air balloons?
Should be enough, if they have pilots and armaments.
So they can blow up the empty tent.
