If he got shot in the stomach, he will eventually become septic.
This would require an ICU admission with huge cost to the taxpayer.
Maybe he will crawl into a hole and die, which will save us a lot of money.

We’ll see. Your comments are on target for a stomach wound. My thought had been that it might be a good idea to let him hole up somewhere if they’ve got him iron clad contained. That way he could shrivel up and die without medical care.
If they arrest him ASAP, they will have to provide medical care. I agree with your thoughts on the cost, and how unfortunate that would be.
I don’t think it’s known exactly where he may have been wounded..... news references I saw last night were to a reported “abdominal” wound but of course there are huge variations in how such a wound will affect someone..... depends upon whether any organ was hit etc. But if any of the more vital organs were hit he would not have survived past daylight hours yesterday, most likely.
As for sepsis, I’m not in medicine but I’m not sure there’s any certainty that *all* abdominal bullet wounds would bring him to death’s door or the ICU. Anyway, it’s very speculative b/c I’m not sure anyone has definite knowledge of what kind of wound(s) he may have, outside of his little circle of lowlife helpers??? Maybe someone picked up by the police has provided more info, but then anyone associated with him is not exactly going to be cooperative?
The best hope for the coming hours is that he may at least be seriously limited in mobility and in the harms he can do until he is located.
