After a local government council voted unanimously to DISAPPROVE a zoning change request for a mosque to be located in suburban Atlanta, one of the locals was harassed and scared by a group of "Middle Eastern" men.

"A Lilburn woman said her family was threatened and harassed as they traveled home from a City Council meeting about a controversial mosque.

Janie Hood, whose family once farmed the area where the mosque was proposed, said “Middle Eastern” men who seemed to be associated with the congregation “boxed” her daughter’s car in as they traveled down U.S. Highway 29 on Wednesday night."

LILBURN — A Lilburn woman said her family was threatened and harassed as they traveled home from a City Council meeting about a controversial mosque.

Janie Hood, whose family once farmed the area where the mosque was proposed, said “Middle Eastern” men who seemed to be associated with the congregation “boxed” her daughter’s car in as they traveled down U.S. Highway 29 on Wednesday night. Click here to find out more!

She said the men began calling threats out their windows and drove erratically, keeping her daughter from turning off the highway from the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville, where the meeting was held, until Lilburn police stopped them inside the city limits.

Hood had spoken at an earlier hearing on the issue, but she said she did not know if the men targeted her because she wore a red shirt to express her opposition to the proposal, which was defeated by the council Wednesday.

“It put me, it put my two grandchildren and it put my daughter in danger,” she said. “They were trying to hurt us.”

By the way, this is in GEORGIA, about 20 miles east of Atlanta.

Muzzies in the US emboldened by having one of theirs as Prez. Hasan shooting has egged them on firther. That was a major win for them (pun intended) as they were able to infiltrate our military as we stood by and watched in political correctness. Expect things to get worse.

Even more of a reason to not allow a mosque. It is truly sad that in this day and age, one must bring weapons to town meetings of any sort.

I have an idea that if there would have been a man in the car it woudn’t have happened. Too bad she wasn’t armed.

FWIW, it is some distance from the Lawrenceville meeting site to the Lilburn city limits. I believe that if one was to map this out and timeline the events, one would see that this harassment went on for several miles in traffic on a multi-lane state highway.

Identify the victim, don't identify the perps. Just great.

My question was not clear. Sorry.

Did the police stop the perps or the targets? Were arrests made? Were nooses engaged?

The monks in Britain had a cool response when the Vikings invaded. The would flay the skin of any Vik unfortunate to be captured and nail it to the door of the monastery.

<< No respect for men who bully women. >>

These aren’t exactly “men” that we’re speaking of here. In fact, I’m not sure if it’s even right to refer to them as “animals.” Animals don’t kill their own. The word “savages” comes to mind for me most of the time. Actually, I usually attach an adjective or two to that word, but I’m fairly certain that I would violate FR’s terms of service if I were to share them with you in this venue.
