FBI probe biggest plot since 9/11

The FBI is worried a group linked to al-Qaeda is training up a new generation of terrorists.

They're thought to be targeting young Somali immigrants, radicalising them to carry out attacks on their home country and possibly the US in the future.

The grey high rise flats in Cedar-Riverside, Minneapolis, are clustered together and are home to hundreds of Somali immigrants.

It's not clear why teenagers like these are giving up their comfortable lives in America and returning to their war torn homeland.

But over the past three years, authorities believe 20 young Somali men have gone back to fight in the bitter civil war, which is reported to have claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.

Illegal refugees

According to census figures there are 35,000 Somalis living in America but the figure is almost certainly a massive underestimate as many live in the country illegally.

Now an extremist Muslim group, which America calls a terrorist organisation, is trying to gain control.

The US believes al-Shabaab has ties to al-Qaeda. It's a shadowy organisation which is made up of radical Islamists.

The FBI were reluctant to spell out the threat, but they do believe something sinister is happening in the local Somali community.

They're calling it their biggest terror investigation since 9/11.

Agents won't say if mosques or religious leaders are involved but they do think victims are being radicalised in America before being trained as fighters in Somalia.

An 18-year-old Somali man, who refused to give his name, said: "I am very scared and I feel uncomfortable in this country. I just hope the government know what they're doing here and they don't mess with the wrong people."

As for the American people, many of them are scared too. Their biggest fear is another 9/11.

No great mystery there, as Aunt B pointed out. Federal? Mr. new Muslim convert and Mrs. Norquist, The Famous Palestinian Apologist. On the state level? Governor Baldacci and his corps of sexually ambiguous left-wing morons got together with the sexually ambiguous left-wing morons of Catholic Charities and the Red Cross, throw in the sexually ambiguous left wing morons of Social Services, and voila, entire clans of Somalis in the North Woods, on welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and in subsidized housing.

The Feds helped the Somalis scour the country for the best welfare deals. They came up with Lewiston-Auburn, Columbus, OH, and Minneapolis, MN.

The intellectuals of the left-wing ... and they all think they are ... are never happier than when they can shock what they think are bourgeois sensibilities and old-fashioned notions of common sense. That's why so many of them push, for example, the queer agenda ... and they all get together to feel good about how they are helping these oh-so-diverse "immigrants." On my dime.

btw ..."sexually ambiguous" ... it is tougher to tell what sex a left-wing moron is in Maine than it is to sex a day-old chick. They all look alike. Man-women and Girl-men. Very large Somali population around the Seattle airport as well. They operate pretty much all the gas stations, convenience stores and taxis in the area.

I had a flight out of Seatac (Seattle airport) about a year ago but had some time to kill. I took a shuttle to a nearby very large shopping mall to look for some gifts. It was a Saturday so the mall was busy with about 80% percent Somali muslims wandering around. Women covered head to toe walking about ten paces behind the men. Somali muslims everywhere. To me it was quite surreal.

I was in Seattle in September. I saw a lot of Muslims, but I couldn’t tell if they were Somali or not. How does one know?

Grover Norquist is quite the piece of work. The more you dig, the worse it gets. He’s the guy who got Abramoff in the white house, got him on the Interior Dept. transition team. Norquist was the ‘main man’ with everything that was wrong with the Bush white house ‘not so conservative’ policies.
The GOP can do little to clear the democrat corruption out of politics until they’ve cleared out the likes of Norquist.

Looking at the timeline and Grover’s history, I’d say she fit into the direction he was heading into. In 1996 he was a major problem in getting Simpson/Massoli immigration reform any teeth. He also helped Steve Moore (another big problem!) to destroy prop 187 in California (against the people’s will and vote)

Well, they just look different than say a Saudi. Somali's have darker skin but smaller features and leaner bone structure than a Saudi.
