FOX News anchor Shepherd Smith today interviewed one of Hasans former Ft. Hood colleagues, Col. Terry Lee, who is now retired. Col. Lee said Hasan thought Obamas election would bring a quick end to U.S. deployments in the Mideast. When it didn’t (end) he (Hasan) became more frustrated with the situation, said Col. Lee.
Did the results of the Tuesday night elections favoring Republicans push Maj. Hasan over the edge?
Col. Lee also says that he personally talked to Hasan and that Hasan said that the Iranians have a right and should stand up against “the agressors”. Why nothing was done about this is unbelievable.
Well, there’s only one thing to do: reverse the results of those elections.
ABC 13 Nightline interviewed a Major Khallid Shabazz - who didn’t ‘defend’ Hasan, but didn’t condemn his actions.
‘Ya know tonight, a lot of people have been pointing to his muslim faith, he was devout as I understand, but would you call him an extremist?” (Cynthia McFadden - I think)
“Well, an extremist; that would be hard for me to say, because I didn’t know him to that level, uhh but actually what he did was very extreme if he acted on his ideology, uhh against the military against the United States then I would have to say that was an extreme action that he took.” - Maj Shabazz
“But you detected nothing, in your rather recent conversations with him that would lead you to believe something like this was possible?” - McFadden
“Yeah, quite the contrary, uhm, uh again I talked with to him on 3 or 4 occasions, uhh, I talked about the extent of his knowledge about the Islamic religion and all of it was pretty fair and balanced. Uh, and that is what I was looking for in somebody to actually replace me. When I interviewed him I - I felt confident that uh he was the right person for the job.” - Maj Shabazz
More on TIVL/DVR, and youtube, I hope.
Either way, I will burn it to DVD, but wow.
I’m leaning towards the recent news on the DC Sniper...as being a catalyst.
