What I remember most about this story, was the fact it was so huge and it dominated the summer tv coverage. Until the perps didnt fit the profile the media had portrayed all summer long (angry cgristian white guy). Once they were found out to be muslim nut jobs, this story vanished off the radar promptly

Actually, it was Fall - started in September.
I’ll never forget hearing about this the 1st time as I drove to a luncheon for my project group for a job well done in September. As a result we talked of it a bit at the restaurant.
On the radio then I heard them talking about a white Isuzu SUV! A little later it was a “white panel truck”. Then it got more general than that - some white van or truck.
The car, incidentally, was 1 of the last good Caprices. It was blue and just like a witness at the evening DC shooting said (ignored, apparently).
