Obama says he's looking at any way to create jobs (Thought he had all the answers?)

SPRINGFIELD, Va. – Standing at the site of a highway project funded by his economic stimulus plan, President Barack Obama said Wednesday he is committed to exploring all avenues to create jobs.

Obama said his administration is going to keep going until "every single American in this country who's looking for work is going to be able to get the kind of well-paying job that supports their families."

Obama spoke from the top of a large mound of dirt and gravel, the site of a highway construction project in the Virginia suburbs outside Washington. He chose the site of the Fairfax County Parkway Extension project to feature the progress of the stimulus package passed earlier this year.

The project is the state's largest stimulus-funded project. When completed, it will connect both ends of Fairfax County.

While some businesses have credited the stimulus bill with preventing layoffs, the national unemployment rate stands at 9.8 percent. Many economists have said unemployment could continue to rise.

The administration has stopped short of calling for a second economic stimulus package. But with the job picture slow to improve, Obama said his administration is moving forward on different fronts to boost the economy.

"We're going to continue to explore each and every avenue that I can think of that will lead to job creation and economic growth," he said while standing with Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and four construction workers wearing hard hats.

No he isn't. He has done absolutely nothing for America's small businesses, which is the sector that creates a good number of jobs in this economy. But Obama is an economic idiot, so he wouldn't know or understand this.

It is probably because the ACORN people hounded him to act...since they are losing their jobs now. And they will probably be the first ones to get jobs too, thanks to Bambi. The rest of the country will wait like it has been for months since he caused this chaos. Actually, it would be better if he just stayed out of the employment situation altogether. He will only make it worse.

Does that include drafting them into his new national security army?

OK so all up and down the main drag in town there has been a “stimulous” make work shovel ready merd slinging project to replace all of the walkways at intersections with new concrete and those little rubberized dotty mats that blind people can sense with their canes. I have seen 1 blind person with a cane on this Main drag for the twenty years I have lived here, but I did see a woman with MS struggling to get her walker over the ********** rubber dot mat!!

Will Obama get the Nobel Prize in Economics for trying to figure out how to create jobs?

Why doesn’t he just bang his staff on the ground?

Shades of The Village People? Does this appearance some how tie in with his love of homosexuals?

Use the “stimulus” funds to cut FICA taxes, and suspend the Federal minimum wage law. That might work, if he was really serious.

I assume you’ve heard that ACORN has only lost a little funding through October 31. After this month, funding will *increase* as banks are “encouraged” to “contribute to” or “partner with” ACORN. So it goes. [Thanks Michelle Bachmann for alerting us.]

Obama says he's looking at any way to create jobs

The man just doesn't get it --- HE CAN'T CREATE JOBS. Employers and Enterpreneurs and Businessmen in America do. If the policies you create DISCOURAGE these people from hiring, no amount of your "looking into ways" is going to create jobs from thin air.

Every time I see one of these signs:

I want to go out shopping for one of these:

This moron in the White House thinks that throwing money at fixing roads is going to bring this economy back in line. What a dumb ass.

I saw six cops standing around drinking coffee, one each 100 yards, while traffic was held up for a quarter mile. I have no beef with cops augmenting their income, but that was just frikking stupid. How much do you suppose those six guys were getting paid for each hour?

He did say all avenues, but I bet he would sooner allow us to print money from home before cutting taxes. Obama could then increase taxes on those who owned the fastest most productive printers.

I don't know as much about economics as you, apparently, could you explain to me how you increase hiring in an economy suffering from over supply and over price. We still have about 14 millions homes available for sale and etc. More business closed than you can count and just what are you going to hire people to build and make.

I have an idea:

Why not consider that the government can’t create anything but obstacles for growth and prosperity.

Although, Obama thinks the total opposite of government.
