I guess that explains his reluctance to even listen to Gen McChrystal’s reccomendations. He knew about this for a while.

Guess you can win the NPP for just not being George Bush.

I wonder if the comittee just assumed the USA would be out of Iraq and Afghanistan by now and GITMO would be closed. (and we would have global warming controls, socialized medicine, etc.)

Sheesh. Given that he has done nothing and our allies are now tired and suspicious of him, this probably hurts him. Kind of like putting his face on the US quarter while he is still in his (failing) first year.

This has got to make Bush and Cheney’s morning!

They truly wanted to promote freedom and peace in the world and having the “prize” go to this imbecile just validates most of their foreign policies.

Bush-Cheney-mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmm! Sarah Palin-MMMM MMMM MMMM!

These people truly despise Bush and they want to do everything they can to humiliate him by propping up Obama. They want Obama to succeed because he does then America fails.

“Guess you can win the NPP for just not being George Bush.”

That’s right - and that’s the biggest lesson to date. If 75% of this country (and most of the world) become so angry at one man, it’s a dangerous situation. These angry people in this country are unfortunately afforded the right to vote, and John McCain might have needed some of those votes & the support to win, which wasn’t available because of all of the people who were so angry with George Bush. And I truly believe that Obama was ONLY elected because he wasn’t representing the party of George Bush. It wasn’t so much a vote FOR Obama as it was a vote against McCain.

It is very sad, and something to keep in mind for the future so that maybe more than 30% will vote based on sound, sensible values, rather than on emotion stemming from anger at an individual or his party.
