I am amzed that this is reported as ‘news’.
It is commonly known Here in the UK that working in the United Kingdom is a matter of choice. Poorer families do the maths and can easily calculate whether working or receiving benefits is more beneficial. It’s as simple as that.
Would reducing the quality of the math education the poor receive help? ;-)
