Gov. Paterson's wife -- emotionally stunned at President Obama's request that her husband not run for another term -- ripped into him today, saying that it's "very unfair" the president asked New York's "first African-American governor" not to seek office.
"You never heard of that before," Michelle Paterson, in her first comments on the situation, said following a luncheon in Midtown.
"David's the first African-American governor in the state of New York and he's being asked to get out of the race. It's very unusual and it seems very unfair."

Time to tell Washington to STFU - Stop The Federal Usurpation. Federal usurpation of individual state rights continues to erode and to limit the ability of state governments to operate according to their own citizen’s directives. Since, as the original intent of the Constitution directed, the best government is one which governs closer to the people and Federal Usurpation is the greatest threat we face today, it is time to tell Washington to STFU.

Of course Chris Matthews chimed in during his ‘racial hate week’ (as I am informally calling it) to defend Obama saying that Paterson should bow out because the democrats will lose the state because of the racist vote.
Sure it has nothing to do with Patterson alienating everyone in the state in one form or another. Its because he is black..
