Just an opinion here......but ‘ballistic’ is just a bit over the top. He was quite composed and articulate.

That Marine didn't go ballistic.
It would have been a very different outcome.
It is encouraging to know that there are many people who are not willing to lay down their birthright as a free people.
Freedom and liberty were here first, and we're not going anywhere.

I have had EXACTLY the same thought - I’m glad he mentioned it.
Obama always says “If you like it, We’ll let you keep your health plan.” FU! why do you get to decide what I keep or not?! Man, that pisses me off!

(11 September 2001 - Never forget)
To: djf
The left has never had to deal with veterans en masse. They are unaccustomed to encountering people whose courage and resolve has been tested and not found wanting. They have never had to deal with those who have stood their ground under fire in Bastogne, or stormed a beach in the Pacific, or faced down ChiComm hoards in Chosen, or exited a Huey in a hot LZ in Vietnam, or have kicked in a door in Fallujah not knowing what awaits them on the inside. They do not understand those who have willed themselves forward when every molecule of their DNA is telling them to flee. They simply cannot comprehend the selflessness those of us who are not the "what's in it for me" leftist crowd they pall with.
I suppose it is like the color blind trying to understand a sunset, but they will never appreciate Shakespeare's St. Crispin's Day speech in Henry V:
We would not die in that man's company That fears his fellowship to die with us. This day is call'd the feast of Crispian. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd, And rouse him at the name of Crispian. He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian.' Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, And say 'These wounds I had on Crispian's day.' Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words- Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester- Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered- We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

Sean had this Marine on his radio program today. Firm and clear bracing of the congressman over slanderous, shameful remarks.
