Rep. Miller and Rep. Price have declined their invitation to this event

I hope you have invited their opponents. I LOVE Bill Randall. I had the opportunity to hear him very briefly speak last week and he is stellar and I can't wait to vote for him in 2010.

I will do everything in my power to be there if at all possible and since I just started homeschooling my 6th grader this week I'm thinking this would be a good field trip for him.

I'm not part of the group (I live in Charlotte) but I just came across this and wanted to pass it along so that there will be a strong turnout. I do hope that Bill Randall and Frank Roche will be there to connect with the base so that we can start working to get rid of those bums Miller and Price.

Speaking of Randall, I'm about to post a write-up on the event that was held outside of Miller's office a couple weeks ago. Bill Randall is included in some of the video.

L’il Dickie Burr declined his invitation? My goodness, why would an erstwhile Republican avoid an opportunity to highlight the failings of his political opposition?

I was at that event and I met him and my son actually took my picture with him. Then I heard him speak a week later and someone asked him a question about global warming. I wasn't aware that he is a meteorologist, very impressive and educated man.

His opinion is that global warming is BS and it's all about the money. He said the farthest out ANYONE can predict weather is 5 days. It's all r/t water vapor and carbon dioxide is a teeny tiny portion of our air and affects little to nothing.

In Burr's defense, he has been doing a number of events recently, including one in the town of Hamlet (in the Dem stronghold of Richmond county) where he was the only Republican speaking, next to Rep. Kissell and a couple of Obama appointees. No idea what Burr's reason is for not attending this upcoming event, however.

Interesting, I didn’t know that. But now that I think about it, he kind of looks like a meteorologist. :) That background should give him some credibility on that issue, if he plays it right - assuming Miller won’t hide from debating him.
