On Tuesday, MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer fretted over health care reform protesters legally carrying guns: "A man at a pro-health care reform rally...wore a semiautomatic assault rifle on his shoulder and a pistol on his hip....there are questions about whether this has racial overtones....white people showing up with guns." Brewer failed to mention the man she described was black.
Not only did Brewer, Ratigan, and Toure fail to point out the fact that the gun-toting protester that sparked the discussion was black, but the video footage shown of that protester was so edited, that it was impossible to see that he was black.
Well, he has good taste in weapons - given the urban environment...

CNN showed video of the guy with the rifle but didn’t bother to mention the fact that he was black either.

Bunch of (200-300) Bush supporters demonstrating along a street.
News crew shows up. They locate the 2 Gore supporters, hustle them back away from the curb, point the cameras on them, away from the throng along the street, and begin to interview them.
Seems strange normally within hours we have a detailed bio including any court injunctions about this person, but the lefty hate mongers seem to not have a bit of dirt on this guy. And tell me the SS does not any info, they should be hot on his tail if he was anywhere near the pres.
They’re not going to mention him because then everyone would hear he was black.
I also read somewhere that the man was standing with the people in favor of gov't-run healthcare. So, I wonder if the armed man is in favor of gov't-run healthcare, too...? If so, these "reporters" misrepresented everything in the story.

I support the free exercise of his right to carry, I don’t care about the color of his skin.

I am sure anyone willing to exercise his rights so in the face of Obama would have ensured they have dotted the Is and crossed the Ts to make sure they didn’t run afoul of the law. I pray this is the case since the press will look for any blemish on anyone willing to take this stand.

For obvious reasons, 0bama supporters showing up armed at these events is greatly troubling to me, while a “conservative activist” showing up armed isn’t a problem to me.
The 0bamites already have the guns of the state to back them, so it would be redundant to show up armed.
Didn’t you get the word — blacks are not allowed to be conservative activists. (sarcasm)
