And fat jobs with civil service benefits for our worthless in-laws. In Arizona we recently created jobs teaching Mexican women how to breast feed their babies. I am not making this up. And they wonder why I am so rabid about having my state taxes increased.
Are they still hiring??
Seriously, I used to do a lot of work with unwed mothers - I helped them get thier start.
Series - is anyone surprised??
My wife did several years as a post-partum nurse and also did in-home pediatric care (usually for extremely sick kids). There is often a need for lactation consulting and it does reduce costs, long term, particularly as regards the development of the immune system. Without it, allergies, asthma, and potentially even arthritis would be more common. Obviously, not all parents need it, but some kids do have trouble getting started even with an experienced parent (I would bet children of drug abusing mothers especially).
If you want some gross swag numbers, I'll ask.
The problem here are the powers these brainwashed and unionized nurses will possess, everybody here knows it, but don't disparage the occasional technical need or financial leverage of early-childhood medical intervention. It's real. The lack does represent some of the failings of the existing system. However, this bill, in the name of solving a legitimate technical problem with significant financial impact, produces new social problems all on its own. That's where we need to keep our focus.
HA HA HA HA my sister is one of those Mexican breastfeeding experts. She works for WIC in Massachusetts. I haven't spoken to her in years, she is horrible to our parents; perhaps Obama can create a visitation squad to teach her how to be a decent child.
