Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.
It's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children." The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.
The bill says that the government agents, "well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."

Dear Governor Perry,
On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.
You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.
We are asking you to take the lead.
We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.
We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.
Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.
Be the voice of reason in the national debate and allow Texans the ability to solve the problems of our state.
Thank you,

Facts about the 10th Amendment:
The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitutions principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.
The truth about government controlled healthcare:
Government healthcare is failing miserably in Massachusetts
If you think a government run healthcare system can work and be more affordable, read this... http://www.notintexas.org/Front_5.htm
Article from the Washington Examiner 1/11/09:
Obamas health policy advisers should take a good look at the smoldering wreckage in the Bay State before trying to impose any such universal coverage on the rest of the nation. Link http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/Universal_coverage_First_look_at_the_disaster_in_Massachusetts_011109.html

HCR 50 HAS PASSED THE HOUSE 99-36!
Affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.

I’m guessing unrestricted electronic access to your bank account to pay “co-pays” and fees just might be another problem.
While I agree with you in principle, I would argue that a large majority of the mothers in the inner cities (no fathers available, of course) have no parenting skills whatsoever ... and neither did their mothers or grandmothers.
Given the pools toxic waste that pass for "culture" in some of those places, one almost wonders if even government bureaucrats wouldn't be preferable.
Of course, that's the theory ... in practice, the bureaucrats would mostly go to places where it's safe.
I doubt any police dept. would give them either one.
Ooh, you are treading on very thin ice there :)
No seriously you are. It could be jail time.

OBAMACARE? Why not call it by its real name obamaScare?
Thanks:)
You know, I’m not a ‘doomsday guy’. I’m not a ‘gloom and doom’ personality. I’m really not “apocryphal’ in my outlook.
But the more I read, the more I hear, the more I sense, I’m beginning to wonder if the Mayans weren’t given a message by God, not to warn us of a specific time for the end of the Earth, but for the end of this age, perhaps.
I’m not saying Jesus comes back in Dec, 2012. I am saying that Dec 2012 is the ‘tipping point’, when the light really recedes from this world. That Dec 2012 is when the countdown clock starts - sort of the ‘final 2 minutes’ (for a football analogy).
No one knows the time, except the Father.
However, maybe he’s giving us hints? Trying to get our attention, give us one last chance to gather as many into the flock as possible before the wolf (or roaring lion) comes?
What does this have to do with lowering the cost of healthcare????
What parent currently seeks out advice from professionals of any sort on how to be a better parent???
What private insurance program offers such services under it’s coverage???
I thought this was a function of the church...

This administration made the BIG change by being the third Clinton term!
Chicago smoke filled backdoor room deals were made by neutering Bill Clinton with the race card, - he said it himself!!
So now this administration, by compromising in the backroom deals, looks more as a Clinton administration than the previous Clinton administration, hmmm!!!

I think we have the right to know the NAMES of the people who came up with this bill. Who are they, specifically? It’s obvious that our own representatives didn’t write the bill because they don’t know what’s in it! What kind of neo-Nazis came up with this idea among the dozens and dozens of others, all designed with total control in mind??
