We’re going to be rapidly impoverished at this rate. Everything the government is trying to do, from health care to light bulbs, is perfectly designed to burn through as much of the nation’s wealth as possible.
And next they want to "fix" our health care system?
What the hell are they doing? Blowing out the engine on purpose?
Must be crushed? They could give it to me for free instead.

WTHeck?? THIS? is our Government at work? THOSE two cars were not ‘clunkers’...
In my town here in NE IL, there are TONS of real clunkers, belching oil every time they accelerate. THEY are the ones this program is meant for. It appears that the “RICH” are trading in perfectly good cars and getting brand new ones at the taxpayers expense.
Those two cars in the vids would have been perfect low cost used cars for some real people in need.

I’d gladly have traded my 90 Jeep for the red one. The left knows only how to destroy. I wonder how many people seeing this would still clamor for government health care.
How many people will be left without a means of transportation to vote in the next election? What group(s) will be out there driving them to the polls and brainwashing them on the way?
I hear the comment boards and message boards are lighting up at these videos, I hope it goes over about as well as his “stupidly” comment about the cops...

That Volvo, along with the other vehicles lined up next to it on “death row” were in excellent condition. My goodness.
We the taxpayers are paying $4,500 to make valuable property completely worthless. What a deplorable waste on so many levels.
Someone needs to stop the foolish, pathological a$$holes who running this country. They’re literally out of their freaking minds.
Worst part is, the engine has to be seized and the vehicle crushed BEFORE the government approves it for the “rebate”.
Come to think of it, why stop with cars??
Instead of giving our slightly used clothes to Goodwill, the Red Cross or the Salvation Army, let’s cut them up and throw them away (cutting them up insures that some enterprising person can’t salvage them from the trash and attempt to sell them for a profit... can’t have that!).
Then, the gov’t can send out lots and lots of Cash for Clothes checks!
That should stimulate all sorts of jobs in the otherwise defunct U.S. garment industry (money can only be spent on clothes that are made in the U.S. of course, good luck finding those!).
Moving on, let’s open every can of food in our pantries and grind-up the food in the diposal!
No need to donate to a soup kitchen or food bank!
The gov’t can send out Cash for Cans (cans of food that is).
That should really help the farmers (and fisherman if you include tuna and sardines!!). Presto, agriculture is back!
And of course, the next step would be houses. Instead of letting someone buy a foreclosed house for a low price that they can afford, let’s bulldoze every vacant house in America!
Then, the gov’t can send out Cash for Condos!
Imagine the construction jobs we’ll “create”!! (btw, they are already doing that with the $8K tax credit)
Wait, there’s more! How about tearing up all of the perfectly good roads!?! Rebuilding those could keep people employed for the next couple of decades!!
Wow, this is easy! Just destroy, destroy, destroy and pay for brand new stuff with other people’s money (or borrow more $$ from our friends in China).
So glad that someone as smart as Obama, Schumer, Pelosi and Reid (and Frank, don’t forget Frank) finally figured out how to fix our economy.

They fill the engine with sodium silicate. Basically, a form of glass that causes the engine to seize up after a short time. The law says the engine must be destroyed and the car has to be crushed. It can never legally be retitled.
I had a Jeep Cherokee identical to the one shown on that page. Rock solid 4.0 six cylinder engine that would have run forever with little maintenance. That’d have been a nice family vehicle for someone on a tight budget, but making sure the UNIONS get their big cushy salaries and lavish benefits is WAY more important to Obama & Co. than the people who are struggling in this tanking economy.
And, I get REALLY angry when I hear the White House pat themselves on the backs and talk about how successful it’s been. I’ll let them in on a clue...any program that gives people free money will be successful until the money runs out.
Sheer idiocy at taxpayer expense. So enraging it makes me shaky.
I didn’t find out until I went to pick up my new truck that the dealer had to ‘seize’ the engine in my old truck. What a waste, that engine was a Jasper rebuilt engine that had maybe 10,000 miles on it. I assumed the engine and recently rebuilt transmission and other parts would be salvaged. Sickening.
