WASHINGTON — US President Barack Obama renewed his push for health reform Saturday, arguing he felt "a sense of urgency" in moving his proposal forward and blasting those advocating delay.

"Today, after a lot of hard work in Congress, we are closer than ever before to finally passing reform that will reduce costs, expand coverage, and provide more choices for our families and businesses," Obama said in his weekly radio address.

"That is why I feel such a sense of urgency about moving this process forward."

Obama wants Congress to approve his health care reform proposals by the end of the year in order to fulfill one of his key campaign promises -- providing health care to the 46 million Americans, some 15 percent of the population, who currently do not have any medical coverage.

For those of you who are translation impaired, allow me to help you. Items in red are lies:
"Today, after a lot of hard work in Congress, we are closer than ever before to finally passing reform that will reduce costs, expand coverage, and provide more choices for our families and businesses," Obama said in his weekly radio address.
When we take away all the lies, we are left with,(the truth is in blue)
"Today, after a lot of hard work in Congress, we are closer than ever before to finally passing reform that will allow the government unprecedented control over your life," Obama said in his weekly radio address.

“”Today, after a lot of hard work in Congress, we are closer than ever before to finally passing reform that will reduce costs, expand coverage, and provide more choices for our families and businesses,” Obama said in his weekly radio address.”

I count at least six lies in this sentence alone.

I doubt any American president has ever strung together a string of bigger lies than that.

Well, Geraldine Ferraro just insisted to the Friends and Rick Santorum that we can keep our private health care like Barry said and those 45 million of uninsured will finally have the care they need...isn't it just wonderful!

If he has that “sense of urgency”, he needs to scratch it, publish it, pee it or poop it....

I didn't hear the whole interview with Geraldine, but I heard her say "this plan will not affect my healthcare." Since she gets her government employee coverage, I have no doubt her healthcare will remain. It's mine I'm concerned about...

Yes, she has the “special” health care. I guess Gerry won’t be called in to meet with the End of Life Counselors either.

Of course he does, his polls are TANKING and the more Americans find out about his plan, them more they hate it.

Does Ferraro really belive that or is she lying? I think Democrats know the prublic option will destroy private insurance. In fact, I know they do, I’ve seen them on video saying just that. This is “strategy.”

Of course he has a “sense of urgency.” More of this liberty takeover by Big Brother is seeping out with every passing day, in spite of the MSM.

I think Ferraro, like Boxer and Pelosi and some other Democrat women, actually believe some of the BS they peddle.

It will NEVER pass after the Congress goes back to their District/State and hears from their Constituents. They are not going to like the earful they are going to get from their employers. They including ZERO forget they work for us not the other way around.

Make sure that Town Hall meetings are stacked with people wanting answers from their employee. It is about time we started reminding them that we work for their campaigns but after they take the oath of office, they are there to work and support what we want not what they think is best for us.
