O'S BROKEN PROMISES HEALTH BILLS V. PREZ'S WORDS (by Mark Levin's Fri. guest)

PRESIDENT Obama promises that "if you like your health plan, you can keep it," even after he reforms our health-care system. That's untrue. The bills now before Congress would force you to switch to a managed-care plan with limits on your access to specialists and tests. snip

When you file your taxes, if you can't prove to the IRS that you are in a qualified plan, you'll be fined thousands of dollars -- as much as the average cost of a health plan for your family size -- and then automatically enrolled in a randomly selected plan (House bill, p. 167-168). snip

One troubling provision of the House bill compels seniors to submit to a counseling session every five years (and more often if they become sick or go into a nursing home) about alternatives for end-of-life care (House bill, p. 425-430). The sessions cover highly sensitive matters such as whether to receive antibiotics and "the use of artificially administered nutrition and hydration."

This mandate invites abuse, and seniors could easily be pushed to refuse care. Do we really want government involved in such deeply personal issues?

Write a handwritten note, call, fax or email your congresscritters and U.S. senators and tell them to vote NO! on National Healthcare. Time is short. President Obama wants a vote on this in a couple of weeks.

There will be countless Terri Schiavo’s, if Obama gets his way. We need to contact our reps PRONTO, and even write a letter to the editor to get folks in our town to call their reps, too.

You won’t be able to keep your current private health plan because it would not be fair to those less fortunate who have to rely on the public healh plan so for the good of all society we will all sink to the lowest common denominator.

Plus, if you’re elderly, they will try to convince you that it is your “duty” to die.

One more reason to rid the country of the increasingly oppressive federal income tax code and intrusive IRS by replacing with The Fair Tax Act(HR25/S296)that will replace all federal income taxes with a national sales tax an abolish the IRS. Fair Tax ping!

Unless you are Senator Byrd or Senator Kennedy.

Saving for near-future reference and letter writing material.

They are controlling our very life and death through income tax.

Yup, they should go on forever, but we should take a pain pill and die.

“Saving for near-future reference and letter writing material.”

Thank you!

One thing I like to say is why aren’t Obama and Congress required to use the same “health”care that they want to mandate to us.

When the end of life counselor shows up in my room, he is going to think he landed at Omaha Beach.

What I want to know is why AARP is supporting this nonsense.

I particularly liked this passage:

Shockingly, only a portion of the money accumulated from slashing senior benefits and raising taxes goes to pay for covering the uninsured. The Senate bill allocates huge sums to “community transformation grants,” home visits for expectant families, services for migrant workers — and the creation of dozens of new government councils, programs and advisory boards slipped into the last 500 pages.

Services for migrant workers!? We’re getting “serviced” all right!

“for the good of all society we will all sink to the lowest common denominator.”

You have just given the perfect definition of socialism. These rats need to be called out for what they are because this is pure insanity.

In my letter to the editor about Obamacare, I’m going to ask WHERE IS AARP on this? People need to know AARP cares more about liberalism than seniors.

I just recently went through such a counseling with my mother-in-law. I think it’s a good and necessary thing for people at the end of their life. The counselor who came was excellent. My mother-in-law is in the final stage of Parkinson’s and is in a nursing home. First, they asked about her wishes if her heart stops. This is cardiac arrest and nursing homes cannot do cpr, they have to call 911 to get an ambulance. The emergency personnel can then do cpr and transport to hospital. The odds of a healthy inidividual to come out of cardiac arrest is dismal but for an elderly person it’s even worse, something like 15% and most of them are in a coma. Next, they asked her about food if she can no longer swallow. One of the risks with feeding tubes for the elderly, is that they can easily inhale the food into their lungs and get a serious case of pnuemonia. If no feeding tubes are placed, the patient is still given liquids or IV’s and elaborate ways of keeping the mouth moist and comfortable. They do not experience hunger. This rejection of food is a natural process many elderly go through at the end anyway. Without their wishes defined, doctors must and do order all types of surgeries, proceedures, and medications costing hundred of thousands of dollars. Very few actually prolong their life more than a few weeks or months. End of life issues are just that, the end of their natural life.

The only reason I’m not working on it now, is that just today I have sent out three mass emailings citing Obama and Dems’ healthcare proposals, along with other mailings, and I’m afraid that it’s possible to over-saturate. Well, there’s tomorrow, and more alerts going out to all that I know.
