It’s just more of this “hurting black people to damage Republicans” thing. The governor of Louisiana, a Democrat, turned away federal aid at an early, critical time. Ray Nagin thought his ego was more important than getting his constituents out of there, so they waited on fancy Greyhounds. School buses just wouldn’t do.
NOt quite the full story....THe Landrea’s aunt was president of the NOLA school board, which right before Katrina hit passed a resolution that NO SCHOOL BUSES were to be used by the public..... The “family” hates Nagin caus he wouldn’t yes mam them...Would not release the buses.
