You know, she once posted to me that she has always held most dear her memories of living in Virginia. She even admitted that whilst in Iraq, before closing her eyes at night and going to sleep, she would softly sing Carry Me Back To Ol' Virginny.

While I enjoyed the teenage years I spent in Virginia and still regularly visit family members who are there, the song on my lips as I drift off to sleep here in the sands of Mesopotamia is Deep in the Heart of Texas. ;-)
