In this KOS thread, Mr.Parry seems to be advocating burning down the White House with President Bush in it:
Chris, you were part of creating the story. That is important information for the reader. The fact that you post about baseball and martial arts means nothing in the context of your story. You were in a sense “lying by omission”. I think that readers that expect “journalism” might want to know that you had a stake in the story.
I am taking it at face value. Rule number 1 of authorship, if your reader's don't get your point, don't blame the readers, check your own writing. If you have to constantly say 'what I really meant was...' you shouldn't blame other's reading comprehension. How about your calling for violence against Biden.. what did you really mean by that? Do you have an excuse for 'what you really meant' on all of your writing? Why not post your own words in your column just like you posted the newbie posts from the thread that started it and let your reader's decide.
I believe it's you who has a problem with comprehension skill's. When your editor checks his e-mail Monday....you may very well be unemployed... as in... no job.
