1) Newly registered users on Free Republic posted horrid racist garbage about little Malia Obama
2) Within 15 minutes, a long post appears on DailyKos quoting in detail each and every racist screed
3) Later that day, an “article” on the front of the Vancouver Sun appears that is a virtually word-for-word match for the Kos thread, written by Chris Parry
4) Chris Parry has publicly advocated making racist attacks on African-Americans, and blaming Republicans for it to hurt the GOP
Therefore: I conclude that CHRIS PARRY himself wrote the racist posts, using multiple names and/or accomplices.
CHRIS PARRY may have committed a HATE CRIME under B.C., Candaian and U.S. Federal Statutes.
Grand Juries have indicted for far less than this.

Actually Chris, a couple of new members made those comments, that doesn't mean they are a FReeper. A FReeper is generally someone who is a long time member, who is active and donates, who attends rallies like the Walter Reed rallies to support the troops, attends the conventions, etc. Just posting a comment here doesn't make one a FReeper any more than posting a comment at the Vancouver Sun makes one a representative of that paper. At that, Vancouver Sun has an almost identical statement as FR regarding its forum posts in that comments do not represent the site, only those making the comment. Should you be judged by the comments on your articles? Are all the comments on those articles official comments that represent the Vancouver Sun?

It's not an allegation, and I won't make that allegation unless I have specific evidence. And unless such evidence turns up, I'm prepared to drop the matter. I understand that simply laying a predicate in the form of a question can potentially be damaging, e.g., Ever murder a 7-year old in Central Park? - so I don't want to be disingenuous here. So I'll repeat:
In my opinion, there's only a scandal here if Mr. Parry made the racist posts, cooperated with those making them, or knew the that the racist posts were spoofs - and I have zero evidence to that effect.
So what are we left with? Like the great majority of reporters, you're a lefty who choses and slants his articles accordingly. But because the evidence of your leftism has been pushed to center stage by FreeRepublic.com, the public will be able to judge your work accordingly.
So this thread is, as Miss Stuart is wont to say, a good thing.
