The only way Obama will govern from the center is if he's forced to compromise like the Toon had to after the '94 midterms. Government takeover of banking, auto manufacturing, healthcare and energy. Are you really expecting any reasonable Conservative to accept these things and give Obama a 'chance' as you put it?
