Palin Sought to End Her Isolation
News Max ^ | July 03, 2009 | Dick Morris

Posted on 07/03/2009 9:12:13 PM PDT by RobinMasters

It's probably very hard to be governor of Alaska. Located an entire day's trip away from Washington, D.C., or New York, my guess is that Sarah Palin felt isolated and out of touch in Juneau and felt that it was important to get back in the game. With President Barack Obama destroying the free-enterprise system, bankrupting the nation, and digging us into a hole of debt it will take a decade to climb out of, Palin undoubtedly felt the need to play a role when health care, our nation's manufacturing base, and so many key areas were at stake. As Eileen McGann and I say in our new book "Catastrophe," the threat to our nation could not be greater.

Dick Morris once again is SPOT ON..Sarah Palin is a freakin GENIUS..she is smarter then some think. She knows EXACTLY what she is doing. She is finally free..free, free as a bird and now she can soar to new heights. Libs are probably more terrified of her now then they were of her yesterday

Another reason that Sarah may have withdrawn is that un Alkaska, it's quite easy to file an ethics complaint. She's racked up $500K defending against these frivilous lawsuits.

They've attacked her 14 year old daughter, 18 year old daughter, and her for not aborting her 1 year old with Downs.

Alaska's revenues are tied to the price of oil, so the job is probably getting more difficult.

She can punt the governor's job, get good money making speeches and writing books in the lower 48, or sort of be trapped in Alaska. It's hard, when you are Alaska governor, to go give a political speech in Chicago, NY, Washington, or even LA. But if you are a lower 48 politico, these things are much easier.

To me it sounds like Dick is involved in projection here.

He’s the one who is isolated and out of the game. And here he is doing a lousy job of psychoanalyzing Sarah Palin.

Poor Dick! To have to sit there under his wife’s thumb all day and help her write books, when he’d rather be out in the world mixing it up in another campaign.

If Dick Morris’ book is as perceptive as this piece, I better check out his book.

She’s now FREE to campaign and move about WHEREVER SHE WANTS!

The ZERO had no management experience and got elected, so why do all these PUNDITURDS now think it’s a MUST REQUIREMENT? (maybe because she’s a ‘woman’??)

One odd thing with this today... Rush was on live today...very odd for the 4th weekend and in fact he talked about the staff thinking they had the day off but he decided to do a live show at the last minute it was to be just a taped “best of” show... did he know something was was coming today but not the time?

I agree with you 100%. No one cared that barry took off after the first of his 6-year senate term. He was only present 141 days that year and basically campaigned on IL’s nickel. Why is that considered just fine, yet Palin resigns so she has freedom to have an impact in anyway she sees fit. Tho I am sure Alaskans are disappointed, she is actually being more efficient/responsible to them by resigning IMHO.

Sarah can draw huge crowds. It would be fantastic to have her speaking out against Crap&Tax and ZeroCare. The MSM/SRM would go nuts. How are they going to slam her without covering what some of her talking points are? This should send poor Barry into a tizzy....

Don’t ya love liberal hypocrisy, they go on and on about Sarah not being “experienced” enough, yet we got a guy in the White House who has ZERO experience, he hardly even served in the Senate, other then being Senator for 5 minutes, what the hell did Obama ever do. Let’s see, since Obama has been in office, we are what, 3 trillion bucks in debt, we have banks failing all over the damn place, we got missiles aimed at Hawaii and Alaska, and we have almost 10 percent unemployment. Oh yeah, Obama is some kind of genius isn’t he..God bless that experience of his, he sure is doing a great job(Sarcasm)..Sarah has more experience and qualifications in her pinky finger then Obama will ever see in a lifetime. I’d take Sarah’s “Inexperience” over Obama any day of the week

I expect to see the Palins move to the lower 48 in a year or so. Meanwhile she will make lots of money, help get concervatives elected in 2010, then get herself elected senator from her new home state in 2012. 4 years as senator and say hello to .president Palin 2016!

The thing that gets me about criticism of Palin is that she's "inexperienced." BS. The woman has 17 years of elective and appointed office experience. Yes, Wasilla is a small village but a group of people still have to voice their support of her.

Now that she doesn't have to worry about her gubernatorial duties she's going to open a can on the Dems and RINOs.

Cap and Trade and the green agenda...if she going to DC to fight that the first issue ... it is a major Alaska issue.. you choke oil ...block using natural resources...and you cripple Alaska to be a minor backwater forever (hell you cripple America forever)...I think she will act in concert with the new Alaska governor as Alaska's super lobbyist in DC.. it the the stepping stone, the door, to bigger things
