The author is wrong. Palin won this battle and got some payback for the unfair treatment which she has received. She looks stronger for it, and the average voter will sympathize with her for the onslaught of attacks against her and family. There is finally a much needed backlash against the media.

These weak minded Republicans who want to play nice don't get it. The other side is out for blood and the sooner we start playing hardball the better. Gingrich and Delay for all their flaws understood how to play hardball with the Democrats.

Letterman offered Palin a gift wrapped opportunity to have public perception about her changed. She didn't back down, no one in their right mind would expect that, and won. Letterman after looking arrogant by not apologizing had to concede and finally apologize. That is a major victory for all of us who have stood by and watched an obscene double standard get played out over and over and over...

We should enjoy this victory and keep pushing until these loud mouth idiots shut up out of fear. That is the only thing Democrats understand; the openly thing that matters to any of them is power and leverage.

This is an absolutely irrelevant column.

Her contention that Palin is “milking” her status as martyr is conventient for the writer who simply wants another candidate for the next election.

However, the contention is irrelevant and factually wrong. Palin’s daughter attended a NY Yankee game and was verbally accosted.

Palin rightfully responded.
