I have heard it explained by a fellow listener that Rush is like conservatism with training wheels. He's good for the fence sitters or those new to the idea of government fiscal responsibility or the heavily leftwing biased media, but after that it's sort of preaching to the choir. And it's mild mannered enough that you can listen to it in a corporate cubicle without getting a harshly worded memo from the boss. Savage grabbed the reins and took it to the next plateau, incorporating the homosexual agenda, theology, family values, and other topics not specifically “political” in nature.

Friends, we should not fall into the trap that some of the haters would have us do. Limbaugh’s fine, Hannity’s fine, Levin’s fine, and Savage is fine. All offer something the others don’t; combined, they’re all important voices for Conservatism.
